Running ain't happening

For this event, I believe there are going to be 2 tough nuts to crack - the run distance and then the stringing it all together. The swim ain't a problem, and the bike ride is perfectly do-able in isolation but still probably ok after the swim. BUT, I've never run as far as 13.1 km, never mind after the swimming and biking pieces. Furthest I've EVER run is about 6 miles (9.7km) - and that took an hour. I really, really, really need to get some running done but still have a calf strain since August, compounded by the Southam Tri in early Sept, so I haven't run since then  :(
 
Maybe I should get some decent shoes and start to build up the running again, might even help rehab on the calf? Hmmm ...... might be worth talking to a quack/physio on this one. Watch this space.
